Apple made it clear that the only thing the company would talk about this conference call was cash, but that of course doesn’t stop anyone in the Q&A portion from straying outside that scope. When asked about new products — more specifically, to elaborate on what he said at the new iPad event about there being a lot to look forward to in 2012 — CEO Tim Cook riffed that “we do love to announce new products, we just don’t do it in conference calls.” Back to the question, however, Cook said that Apple’s pipeline is “full of stuff” and that customers will be “incredibly pleased” with what they see coming out.
