Amazon has released updates for its iOS, Android, and Cloud Reader apps with support for children’s books, comics, and graphics novels, and says that over 1,000 titles are available including titles like Curious George, and comics like Batman and Superman. Amazon says that supported comics and graphic novels will be presented in panel view, which shows artwork in a “panel-by-panel experience that reads as the author intended.” As part of the update, Amazon has also introduced library search by title and author in Kindle for iOS, and tweaked the layout on the iPad with smaller margins. Additionally, the Kindle app for Android tablets and Kindle Cloud Reader have been updated with a two-page viewing option for widescreen displays.
