‘Game of Thrones’ is most pirated show this season, may be most pirated show of 2012

Game of Thrones is the most pirated show of the season and is on track to be the most pirated show this year, TorrentFreak reports. The combination of high demand, low availability, and HBO's decision not to offer a standalone HBO Go subscription may be what drives The Oatmeal's Matthew Inman and millions of others worldwide to turn to piracy instead of watching the show through more legal, albeit less convenient means. With about 3.9 million downloads per episode, Game of Thrones beats second-place How I Met Your Mother by over a million downloads per episode, and only about 4.2 million viewers watched each episode on US television. Perhaps you should just take our money, HBO!
