Netflix’s stable of original content is only getting bigger. The streaming company announced today that it will release the animated series BoJack Horseman for streaming audiences in mid-2014. The new series will star Will Arnett in the titular role, with Aaron Paul as his human sidekick and Amy Sedaris as his feline ex-lover. The show will follow BoJack, a humanoid horse and former star of the fake ‘90s sitcom Horsin’ Around, as he grapples with everyday personal problems — like equine alcoholism.
Will Arnett and Aaron Paul to star in Netflix animated series ‘BoJack Horseman’

Will Arnett already enjoyed a successful move to Netflix earlier this year with the fourth season of Arrested Development, and talks are already underway for the next season. Meanwhile, Aaron Paul is obviously a hot commodity considering his roles in Breaking Bad and his role in the upcoming Need for Speed. But all told, Netflix is clearly intent on becoming a fully-fledged network and the coming years are filling up with programming fast; House of Cards is ramping up for a new season, the company is making moves into children’s television, and Marvel is onboard for four new shows in 2015.
