Google Play offering a week of discounts and deals for its birthday

Last year Google relaunched its media and app stores under the now-familiar Google Play brand, and to celebrate the date the company is offering a number of specials and discounts on apps, movies, music, and magazines throughout the week. They range from a $15 gift card from Google+ Sign-In partner Fancy, to 99 cent movie rentals, to discounts on albums from the likes of Daft Punk and Gorillaz. Google has quite a history of marking significant milestones with sales, having offered similar discounts back in September when it hit 25 billion app downloads.
