Amazon has acquired the rights to The Neon Demon, the next movie from Drive and Only God Forgives director Nicolas Winding Refn, Variety reports. Refn describes The Neon Demon as “a horror film about vicious beauty,” telling the story of a budding model moving to LA. The movie’s cast includes Elle Fanning, Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Jena Malone, and Abbey Lee.

Although The Neon Demon has been picked up by Amazon, the company plans to release its properties in theaters as well; in this case, it’ll be out next summer ahead of its early-window distribution on Prime Instant Video. With Refn’s latest, Amazon is adding to its stable of dark, unconventional content from noted names — The Neon Demon will be joining Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq and the Kristen Wiig-starring comedy Desired Moments.
