We traveled to Kansas City to experience Verruckt, the tallest waterslide in the world. It stands taller than Niagara Falls and takes about five exhausting minutes to climb its 264 steps. The experience lasts about 18 seconds from start to finish, and riders reach speeds of up to 50 mph. If you ever find yourself out in Kansas City — and you’re comfortable with being very high up — consider a day at Schlitterbahn Water Park.
Here’s the most fun you can have on the water this summer
If you’re looking for something even more extreme, find a place that does Flyboard rentals. Flyboards are these hovercraft-esque machines that propel you through the air using high-power water jets. There's also the Hoverboard and Jetpack, if Flyboarding doesn't satiate your daredevil-eque needs.
And it's worth mentioning the Flowrider, a wave simulator that's powered by a constant flow of rushing water. They can be found at indoor and outdoor water parks all over the world, and even on the back of cruise ships. They're fun — take my word for it.
