Tesla CEO Elon Musk is about to tell us more about the company’s upcoming Model 3 vehicle. The announcement will “go live” at 8PM ET / 5PM PT and will be all about the Model 3, according to a tweet from Musk.

Earlier this year, he said that a “part 2” announcement regarding the Model 3 would take “things to another level,” and then at Recode’s Code Conference in May, Musk teased that there’d be a “big” event for the Model 3 toward the end of the year. He wouldn’t say anything about what would be unveiled there, only that they’d do “the obvious thing.”
We don’t know if the announcement will consist of a blog post on Tesla’s website and a Q&A conference call or as a full-fledged video presentation — but we do know that press are not in attendance.
