Microsoft has revealed a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, which has also been given a release date and a big-name star: Keanu Reeves. The trailer offered a lot of the same elements we saw last year, including a dark (yet neon-drenched) future where body modifications and criminal activity are common. But Reeves — whose character is apparently named “Mr. Fusion” — made a surprise appearance at the end of the trailer, then on stage, where he announced the game’s release date of April 16th, 2020 for both PS4 and Xbox One.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released April 16th, 2020 and feature Keanu Reeves
Cyberpunk 2077 has been in the works since at least 2013, but we got our first real look at it last year. The project is an open-world shooter with heavy character customization options, set in a world where implants can drastically change people’s appearance and abilities. It’s based on the tabletop title Cyberpunk 2020 and made by CD Projekt Red, known for the Witcher series.
