How much is Twitter worth to Elon?

Before re-upping his offer to buy Twitter for around $44 billion earlier this week, Elon Musk apparently tried to talk the company down on price, according to reports from the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. He apparently proposed prices as low as $31 billion.

The trial over whether Musk should be forced to buy Twitter is still on although his Thursday deposition is reportedly delayed.
