You can easily check whether tech companies like Twitter are illegally surprising employees with mass layoffs.
California has a list publicly accessible on the internet: See “Latest WARN Report” at this link. You’ll generally need a spreadsheet tool to open it, but I already stuffed the most recent version into Google Sheets so you can take a peek.
As of October 31st, Twitter had not yet told California it was going to lay off loads of workers — but guess which company does show up? Tesla. Musk can’t pretend he’s unaware of the law.
