Biden’s losing an antitrust advocate.
Tim Wu, who invented the term “net neutrality,” is leaving his position at the National Economic Council, according to The New York Times. He joined in early 2021, aiming to work on technology and competition policy.
At the time, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) said she looked forward to working with him to “to modernize antitrust enforcement, strengthen our economy, and protect workers and consumers.” Wu tells the Times that he’s leaving the White House to spend more time with his family, and that he’ll be going back to his job as a Columbia Law School professor.
