Everyone’s a winner in the Pentagon’s eyes.
After a failed attempt to find one company to handle its cloud computing needs, the DoD has announced that it’s giving Oracle, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft a contract worth up to $9 billion.
Google has famously run into resistance from some workers over partnering with the military; when it was bidding for this contract, the Alphabet Workers Union promised to fight it.
