Samsung Display has announced that its latest OLED panels for smartphones can hit a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. That’s very bright for an OLED, and should help the company’s screens stay visible even when they’re used in bright light outside. In what’s unlikely to be a coincidence, the company also announced this week that its latest OLED TV panels can reach a similarly eye-searing brightness.
