Rivian’s Georgia factory is officially approved.
Fox 5 Atlanta reported on Thursday that the development authority of four nearby counties (two of which the approximately 1,978-acre plot straddles) has approved the deal.
Last year, the Georgia state government gave Rivian a $1.5 billion tax incentive for the factory, which could eventually produce nearly half a million EVs every year.
