It seems Android’s “Nearby Share” is out and “Quick Share” is in.
Android’s AirDrop competitor might be getting a rebrand. Kamila Wojciechowska, an oft-reliable source of Google leaks, reported receiving a notification about the name change after installing a new Android update. News of the change comes over three years after the feature’s launch in 2020, and confusingly matches Samsung’s name for a very similar feature.
