It’s Apple’s decision to make.
Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon says the company is assuming that it won’t be providing the iPhone’s modem in 2024. It’s another hint that Apple is working on its own modems, which could show up in devices by next year. Qualcomm has been preparing investors for this, saying that it expects “minimal contribution from Apple product revenues” by 2025.
