Using AI to generate image alt text is a fantastic use-case, making the web more accessible to those with vision problems.
TechCrunch reports that Microsoft’s new vision model, Florence, will be doing exactly that for Reddit, LinkedIn, and elsewhere — sites whose huge scale makes manual captioning a trickier prospect. You can see Florence in action here.
