Be prepared, to receive more animated emoji.
Meta might be working on a new animated emoji feature for WhatsApp — a GIF posted by WABetaInfo shares this animated Party Hat emoji 🥳 running in a beta version of the app (via Engadget).
If the feature launches, it wouldn’t be unlike Telegram’s animated emoji it added last year. Telegram did have to initially backtrack on “telemoji” apparently due to its resemblance with Apple’s emoji designs, but it looks like WhatsApp will have more unique designs from the start.
