Ahsoka, the character, made her first live-action appearance in season 2 of The Mandalorian after originally being introduced in the animated shows. She’s played by Rosario Dawson, who will be reprising her role for the new series. We already knew the show would debut this year, as it’s part of a pretty-packed slate for Disney Plus in 2023.
And, since this is Disney, Ahsoka is just one of many series in the works. As part of the panel today, the company also confirmed that another spinoff, The Acolyte — which stars Amandla Stenberg, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Lee Jung-jae — will debut on Disney Plus in 2024.
