Chip Wars: China Strikes Back.
The Chinese government has warned that “operators of critical information infrastructure in China” should stop buying from major US memory chipmaker Micron.
It’s the latest development in the so-called “Chip War,” which has seen the US and its allies attempt to cut China off from advanced chips. The Associated Press notes that the Chinese government has been reluctant to retaliate so far, to avoid disrupting companies’ access to essential technologies.
