How’s the new Forza Motorsport?
Driving a handful of cars on some of the tracks in an early preview build of the new Forza, like the familiar Maple Valley circuit, showed the improvements in not just the graphics but also the AI drivers and physics, where I could feel improvements over previous entries. The new car mastery system also gave more feedback than ever on why I’m slow in a particular corner and how to get better.
Otherwise, it’s still the same racing sim as usual, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Whether or not it will pull people away from competitors like Gran Turismo is harder to tell, but I should know more before the game launches on October 10th.
