The Castro Podcast app will live on with a new owner.
Bluck Apps, a small app studio with an existing Android podcast app called Aurelian Audio, has purchased the iOS-only Castro following months of uncertainty about its future.
Castro calls the purchase “a return to its independent roots” and says that while it will “modernize” the app, it won’t make big changes like overhauling the UI or adding chatbot functionality.
