Mistral debuts a coding assistant called Codestral.

Mistral CEO Arthur Mensch told The Verge that Codestral trained in more than 80 coding languages, including “legacy code” like Fortran and COBOL, so it can help coders of all kinds.

Codestral will be available through Mistral’s chatbot Le Chat and through an API.
