That’s a message from former editor-in-chief Matt Miller via a post on Game Informer’s X account. “Our 33-year legacy deserves a genuine goodbye, written by a former Game Informer member,” the post starts, seemingly confirming that the Game Informer shutdown message posted Friday wasn’t written by staff.
However, after the tweet was posted, Game Informer’s X account was deleted. We’ve contacted GameStop for comment.
