US and Dutch authorities lay out new restrictions for chips and chipmaking tech.

Today, the US announced new rules to prevent chips from ending up in China or Russia, including requiring more scrutiny of customers by manufacturers, restricting exports to 16 more Chinese companies, and expanding foundry licensing requirements, as Bloomberg writes.

That follows the Dutch government’s announcement today of tightened export controls for semiconductor manufacturing equipment makers like ASML, which Bloomberg reported separately.
