HP’s Omen 16 gaming laptop gets the RTX 5070 Ti.

The HP Omen 16 has a new configuration with an Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti GPU, launching soon starting at $1,999.

That’s an entry-ish-level laptop with a new top-tier config sporting an upper-mid GPU. HP offers a lot of Omen models, with this one squeezing in right below the Omen Max.

Mechanism (mostly!) fixed its kickstand for Steam Deck, Switch 2 and friends.

I adore Mechanism’s mounting solutions, but always felt its $15 kickstand was a skip; I bought this amazing $25 mount instead. But the brand-new Kickstand 2 is better! Slimmer, stronger, anti-skid, no more detach when you lean back. Still can pop off when pulling forward at some angles, though! Tradeoffs.

Samsung’s 500Hz OLED monitor now available in the US.

Announced at CES earlier this year, Samsung’s 27-inch Odyssey OLED G6 gaming monitor is now available in the US for $999.99. It has a 1440p resolution, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4 port, and that all-important 500Hz refresh rate. Samsung is also launching the 37- and 40-inch Odyssey G7 4K monitors in the US.

I want to believe there’s a laptop RTX 4090 in this surfboard of a custom handheld.

Look at this thing. According to Videocardz and Tom’s Hardware, it’s a custom 12.5-inch 4K handheld with Intel i9-14900HX and Nvidia RTX 4090 chips from a gaming laptop. There are pics and a video of it playing games, but none showing the build or internals.

Obviously, I want it.

Did... did dude just shock himself into becoming a human aimbot?

I have not independently verified Nick Zetta’s new and painful way to cheat in shooter games... but I’d be happy to!
