Sleep is so important. It’s when your body rebuilds and your brain encodes memories. My kids absolutely don’t care about any of that. But what if I tell them they could catch a Pikachu by sleeping? At this point, if it works, it works.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet both have their own version-specific Professors who become important parts of the games’ stories.
But the new upcoming Pokémon anime set to debut this year will introduce a third — Friede, a man partnered with a Pikachu wearing a captain’s hat — who will join the series’ protagonists on their adventures, and maybe have something to do with how the group manages to travel around the entire Pokémon world.
There’s no way of knowing just what all The Pokémon Company’s going to reveal during next week’s 20-minute-long livestream.
But from the looks of a teaser poster that hit Weibo this week, we might hear about an upcoming animated short titled Journey of Dreams that’s definitely debuting in China and may have a wider release later on.
Next week there will be 20 minutes of news about Pokémon, with a livestream that just so happens to land on Pokémon day (February 27th). There’s no word on what to expect, but I’m desperate for an update on Pokémon Sleep.
