MSI has gone all-out with its new Monster Hunter collaboration.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise, MSI is releasing over half a dozen themed products carrying iconography from the games. There’s a gaming laptop, monitor, and PC case to choose from, as well as internal PC components like a graphics card, motherboard, and AIO liquid cooler. MSI is describing the range as “limited-edition,” though, so it’s unclear how long they might be available.

It’s time to nag the FTC about your Right to Repair.

The commission is inviting public comments on a Right to Repair petition pushed by DIY repair specialists iFixit and the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), which with enough attention, could result in draft rules being introduced.

For more insight into the fight for Right to Repair laws, check out this iFixit blog post and the following Vergecast episode featuring iFixit CEO Kyle Wiens.

Google Messages might soon let you use RCS across multiple SIM cards.

That’s according to an APK teardown of the Messages app by 9to5Google, which found mentions of “multi_sim” alongside “RCS.” The launch of the feature wouldn’t exactly be a surprise — Google’s support page explicitly states that “RCS chats are available for your default or preferred call SIM at this time and may be available for other SIMs later” — but it suggests the feature could arrive soon.

OpenAI code suggests ChatGPT could sub in for Google Assistant on Android phones soon.

Over at Android Authority, Mishaal Rahman has evidence that ChatGPT’s developers are working to enable the use of it as your default AI assistant.

That way, it could replace Google’s Assistant (which is getting a generative AI boost from Bard), Bing, Alexa, or others when you long-press your Android home button. However, the code also suggests access could be tied to paying for a ChatGPT Plus subscription.

MacRumors made mockups of the iPhone 16 Pro.

It seems Apple’s next Pro phones will look a lot like the iPhone 15 Pro, but they’ll apparently have bigger screens and a new capacitive button for capturing video.
