The Apple TV Plus series Earthsounds is exactly what it, well, sounds like: a multi-part documentary that focuses on the soundscapes of the natural world. It’s narrated by Tom Hiddleston and is coming very soon, premiering on February 23rd.

We’re only a few days out from the premiere of Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the series’ final trailer gives us our best look yet at what sort of VFX-heavy action set pieces the streamer has cooked up for the Gaang.
Did you have a car company producing an anime series on your Friday afternoon bingo card? I sure didn’t. But the show is real and it’s called GRIP, will have five episodes released weekly starting February 26th, and is described as “a battle between the human spirit and computer control.” If we’re lucky, it’ll be something like an animated spiritual successor to The Hire series.

Nintendo just dropped a new trailer for Princess Peach: Showtime, and it includes four new versions of the Mushroom Kingdom royal: mermaid, figure skater, thief, and superhero. Basically, she has range, and the game looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun as Nintendo continues to send off the original Switch on a high note. Showtime launches on March 22nd.
One of my favorite movies at TIFF last year was The Beast, an era-spanning romance starring Léa Seydoux and George MacKay as star-crossed lovers who keep meeting in different time periods, one of which is a near-future dystopia in which AI runs basically every facet of human life. It’s coming to theaters in select cities on April 5th.
The latest trailer for Netflix’s Damsel has dangerous dragons, elaborate fantasy costumes, and Millie Bobby Brown getting tossed off a bridge. Which is to say: it looks like a blast. And the movie starts streaming pretty soon, hitting Netflix on March 8th.
Splatoon 3’s new Side Order DLC mixes roguelite dungeon crawling action with some Nier Automata vibes. In Side Order, inklings will ascend a tower completing ever-changing objectives in a quest to the top. Use color chips to enhance your weapons, abilities, and paint colors, but should you fail, you’re busted all the way back to level one to begin again.
Side Order launches on the Switch February 22nd.
What the Golf? finally has a PlayStation release date. In a new trailer, developer Triband announced that the wacky-ass golf game will launch on PlayStation on March 14th, joining iOS, PC, the Switch, and the Apple Vision Pro.
