If the ‘90s aren’t really back, then why does Netflix’s upcoming Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers special featuring members from the original cast look so radical?

Sweet Tooth’s young hybrid protagonist Gus might have grown up learning to hide from humans in order to avoid being captured and experimented on by them, but the kid seems downright ready for war in a new teaser trailer for the Netflix series’ upcoming second season.

Amazon’s Swarm is about a popstar-obsessed serial killer, but co-creator Janine Nabers also sees the series both as part of the great American antihero canon, and as a way of pushing viewers to ask themselves “Why do white guys get to do all of this? Why do white guys get to have all the fun, in terms of the Tony Sopranos and the Breaking Bad people?”

The first season of The Rings of Power was very sumptuous and expensive TV, but most of the actors weren’t especially familiar to audiences. Season 2, however, is adding new cast members you might recognize, including Ciarán Hinds (who played Dumbledore’s brother and Mance Rayder on Game of Thrones). As with previous press releases there’s no word on who Hinds is playing. So commence with the speculation.
We have a bit of a wait on our hands for the second season of HBO’s hit show. In a recent interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, Bella Ramsey predicted that it isn’t likely to arrive until the end of 2024, or early 2025. Episodes are still being written, and there’s no firm date when filming will start.
“It will be a while. I think we’ll probably shoot at the end of this year, beginning of next,” she said.

Following the death of actor Lance Reddick on Friday at the age of 60, a statement from his wife Stephanie thanked fans for their love and support, while specifically mentioning the “thousands of Destiny players who played in special tribute to Lance.”
Polygon has a report on the in-game tributes from players to the actor who voiced Commander Zavala in Bungie’s series.
She also asked that donations be made to MOMCares, a program that serves under-supported mothers with NICU experiences in Baltimore, Reddick’s hometown.
Or at least it is in Extrapolations, the decade-spanning climate change drama that just premiered on Apple TV Plus. It has talking whales and some controversial science. This week also has the return of Ted Lasso, the final episode of Servant, a charming Bayonetta spinoff, and Amazon’s horror series Swarm.

Amazon’s new psychological thriller series from Donald Glover and Janine Nabers is a dark sendup of stan culture, but it’s too caught up in its own obsession with Beyoncé.
