Black Mirror is back.

If you’re looking to stream something at home this weekend, there’s a brand-new season of Black Mirror with five episodes spanning everything from true crime to demonic horror.

Meanwhile, Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City and Pixar’s Elemental are both in theaters, and Apple Arcade added a racing game called Jet Dragon from Grezzo, a studio best-known for working with Nintendo on various Zelda games.

Also: a pair of demos for Final Fantasy XVI and Ghost Trick will let you not only try the games early, but bring your progress over when the full versions launch.

Lilly Wachowski has very good reasons for voting “no” on the DGA’s deal with the AMPTP.

The Directors Guild of America has already approved a tentative new labor contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, and encouraged members to ratify it by vote.

But ahead of the voting deadline on June 23rd, a number of directors including Lilly Wachowski have begun speaking out about why they’ve cast “no” ballots, namely: some concerning language in the proposed contract relating to “generative” AI that definitely seems like it could be exploited in nefarious ways.

Disclosure: The Verge’s editorial staff is also unionized with the Writers Guild of America, East.

What We Do In The Shadows is finally giving Guillermo what he wants.

At least that’s what it looks like in the new trailer FX just dropped ahead of What We Do In The Shadows’ premiere next month. It might not be the taste of vampirism that he truly craves, but it’s certainly one he’s earned at this point.

Secret Invasion brings the MCU down to Earth

Samuel L. Jackson and Olivia Colman shine in Marvel’s new Disney Plus show, which feels more like a souped-up Agents of SHIELD TV event than a proper spy thriller.
