A Heroes revival is coming because why not?

The last time Heroes was brought back from the dead led to one of the most befuddling bits of superhero storytelling to ever make it to air, but Tim Kring is reportedly shopping around a new show — Heroes: Eclipsed — that will feature “familiar villains and new enemies.”

The composers of X-Men ‘97 had to evolve the show’s sound to honor its roots

To create the X-Men ‘97 score, Andy Grush and Taylor Stewart had to work through their nostalgia and create new sounds from the future.

Apple’s next immersive video is another Prehistoric Planet episode.

The second episode of Prehistoric Planet Immersive will be available on April 19th, according to the Apple TV Plus page for the series.

The first episode was a pretty demonstration of the Vision Pro, rather than the David Attenborough-narrated, pretend nature documentary that Prehistoric Planet is. But the younger version of me that saw Jurassic Park and Prehysteria in theaters welcomes it, anyway.

In a parallel universe, this would be my game of the year.

Unfortunately it’s not real. But the fictional arcade game The Rise of Jubilee from yesterday’s episode of X-Men ‘97 hit all the right nostalgic notes. If only it wasn’t so hard to find a Motendo to play it on.

Paramount and Skydance are even closer to making a deal.

Yesterday, the NYT said there were discussions of entering exclusive talks, and now multiple outlets report the companies have entered a 30-day exclusive negotiating window. Bloomberg even says, “Shari Redstone, Paramount’s controlling shareholder, has reached a tentative agreement to sell her stake to Skydance.”

The hold up now is apparently the second step of Paramount and Skydance reaching a merger agreement. As for other hopefuls, Variety reports a $27 billion all-cash bid from the private equity firm Apollo was declined.

The Witcher is sending a bunch of new friends and foes Geralt’s way in season four.

Geralt is getting a whole new face season four of Netflix’s live-action The Witcher adaptation. But in addition to Liam Hemworth, the show has also added Sharlto Copley as Leo Bonhart, James Purefoy as Skellen, and Danny Woodburn as Zoltan to the cast.

Welcoming you to the Dead Boy Detective Agency.

There’s a little more of Edwin and Charles doing their ghostly detective work in the trailer for Netflix’s Sandman spinoff, Dead Boy Detectives

Detectives, which comes from showrunners Steve Yockey, who wrote the excellent Doom Patrol and Sweet Tooth co-creator Beth Schwartz, will be up for streaming starting on April 25th.

The Big Door Prize’s new season 2 trailer is full of potential.

The first season of Apple TV Plus’ The Big Door Prize series from David West Read asked its characters to imagine what more their lives could be if they really tapped into their full potential. And the show’s new season season 2 trailer makes it feel like the titular prize machine is going to change the game with “a new stage.”

The Big Door Prize back on April 24.

Paramount and Skydance get a little closer to making a deal.

Paramount still hasn’t settled on a partner, but the New York Times reports negotiations with Skydance over a possible merger have reached the step of “discussing entering into exclusive talks.”
