Behind the scenes with Stranger Things.

It’s not the trailer fans were probably hoping for, but Netflix did at least release (another) behind the scenes clip for the upcoming fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The long wait continues.

Agatha All Along is a whimsical road trip through Marvel’s world of witchcraft

Disney Plus’ new WandaVision spinoff series steers clear of the franchise’s multiversal messiness to do its own thing.

The Listeners.

This one is a TV series from the BBC, but in just two episodes I was hooked. Rebecca Hall stars as a woman who suddenly starts hearing a low, persistent hum. The problem is that it seems she’s the only one who can. There are all kinds of physical side effects — bad sleep, nosebleeds, anxiety — but the real issue is the mystery of it all. Not only what the sound is, but why her?

Part supernatural story (maybe!), part tense family drama, I’m really itching to see where The Listeners goes after its great start.

Amazon has halted production on Good Omens’ final season.

Though production on the third and final season of Good Omens was well into production in Scotland, Deadline reports that Amazon has put the project on hold seemingly in response to sexual assault allegations surrounding author Neil Gaiman.

The pause comes just a few days after Disney suddenly pumped the brakes on its adaptation of Gaiman’s novel The Graveyard Book.

Happy “Star Trek Day” to all who celebrate.

In honor of the September 8th anniversary of the original Star Trek series premiere, Paramount Plus has assembled a free-to-watch YouTube playlist of the first episodes (including two-parters like “Encounter at Farpoint”) of most of the franchise’s series, along with a handful of shorts. They’re free from September 7th – 13th.

That doesn’t include Star Trek: Prodigy, which is over on Netflix, and not free.

Apple TV Plus lines up a new TV show from Atlanta director Hiro Murai.

After teaming up with Donald Glover again on Amazon’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith and executive producing The Bear, next up is Widow’s Bay with Apple Studios. Murai is listed as a producer and the director of the pilot episode, while Katie Dippold (The Heat, Ghostbusters) will be the executive producer and showrunner.

Here’s the blurb:

Widow’s Bay is about a mysteriously cursed New England island and its superstitious citizens, led by a mayor who refuses to believe their warnings.

Very descriptive.

A big order of Chef’s Table.

Netflix’s culinary series is returning in a major way, with three new shows: a spinoff all about noodles streams on October 2nd, season 7 premieres on November 27th, and another spinoff about legendary chefs will kick off next year. Just make sure you don’t watch on an empty stomach.

Another California digital replica bill moves forward.

AB 1836, which requires studios to get express consent from dead performers’ estates before producing digital replicas of them, passed the state Senate yesterday, reports Variety.

The bill’s passage yesterday came days after California’s legislature passed AB 2602 with similar consent requirements for living actors. SAG-AFTRA released a statement calling the bill a “legislative priority” and encouraging Governor Gavin Newsom to sign it.
