The Switch is getting four retro SNES strategy games.

As a potential consolation prize for Assassin’s Creed Shadows not making its way to the Switch, Nintendo has announced four SNES strategy games coming to the Switch Online service, with two of the games — Nobunaga’s Ambition and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness — featuring the same conflict that plays out in Shadows.

The other two titles launching on March 28th include Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire and Uncharted Waters: New Horizons.

You can use this unfortunately-named ultra-thin Bluetooth speaker under your pillow.

Look, not every company has the budget to hire a marketing team to help name their product, particularly companies relying on crowdfunding. As much as we like the idea behind this Bluetooth speaker that’s just 11 millimeters thick so you can stick it under a pillow without feeling it, we’re not entirely comfortable referring to the SluTune Q1 by name.

You can back it on Kickstarter for $32, with delivery expected as early as May 2025.

The speaker chargers over USB and its creators claim it offers up to 28 hours of battery life.

Stop using these wireless power banks recalled over a fire risk.

Velvet Caviar has issued a recall for several different versions of its MagSafe Battery Pack. About 89,500 of the portable chargers have been sold, according to the CPSC, featuring lithium-ion batteries that can “overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.”

You can confirm if your battery pack is included in the recall by visiting Velvet Caviar’s website which includes details on safe disposal and the process for requesting a replacement.

Today I learned you can buy tiny server rack replicas from Japanese vending machines.

Japan has shown the world that wonderful things can be distributed through a vending machine -- from tiny Nikon camera replicas, to Nintendo controller keychains. But I’m especially jealous of these server rack replicas discovered by Viktor Shpak featuring miniature Dell servers and Cisco switches plus tiny cables to connect them all together.

You can also buy them online it turns out, but you’ll be paying far more than what a Japanese gashapon machine charges.

Another Nintendo PlayStation prototype has emerged.

Only 200 prototypes of the Nintendo PlayStation were ever made, and most were destroyed when the partnership fell through. What was believed to be the last remaining prototype in existence sold at auction for $360,000 in 2020, but Julian Domanski discovered that former Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Ken Kutaragi has had one stashed away in a closet, as spotted by Time Extension. Don’t expect it to hit the auction block any time soon.
