Epic has been teasing another throwback season following the success of Fortnite OG. But it looks like it will be preceded by an event called “the prelude” on November 1st at 6:30PM ET, which appears to have something to do with music. Maybe a surprise concert is in store. At the very least, there will be butterflies.

As part of its burgeoning lineup of games, the New York Times has just released a new version of Connections, this one focused entirely on sports trivia from The Athletic. Because everyone is getting in on daily games, the NHL also recently launched its own Connections-style game called Lines, which, obviously, is full of hockey-themed puzzles.

On October 31st at 1PM ET, Panic is holding its next showcase event for the Playdate. You can expect news on “upcoming games for Playdate, updates on released titles, and a couple more surprises to keep you on your toes.” Maybe we’ll finally hear what’s up with the dock. The 3D platformer Yooka-Replaylee — a spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series — has been announced for consoles whenever it does launch. What’s more interesting, though, is that it’s coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and, instead of the Switch, “Nintendo platforms.” That Switch 2 reveal can’t come soon enough.
It’s October 23rd — an important date in Fallout lore — and Bethesda is holding a showcase event to share some news. The biggest so far: pets are coming to Fallout 76 in the future, starting with cats and dogs. And yes, you can pet them.
