    Sorry, productivity.

If you’re one of those people who is off to a great start in 2024, on the way to accomplishing all of your goals, I have some bad news: the classic puzzle game Threes is on its way to PCs via Steam next month to consume all of your free time. Install at your own risk.

    A space oddity.

The first teaser for Netflix’s Spaceman — a dramatic sci-fi film from director Johan Renck, starring Adam Sandler — didn’t give a lot away. But the latest trailer gives a much stronger feel for the movie, including a first glimpse at Paul Dano’s little alien character, described as “a mysterious creature from the beginning of time.” It looks intriguing to say the least — and starts streaming on March 1st.

    Maximum Messi.

Apple’s partnership with MLSand, in turn, Lionel Messi — continues with the announcement of a new docuseries about the league, helmed by some of the minds behind Netflix’s hit Formula 1: Drive to Survive. The show will be coming to Apple TV Plus, where there’s already a series on Messi himself, though no word yet on when it’ll start streaming. If nothing else, it’s a smart way to help boost those MLS Season Pass subscriptions.

Another new addition to The Last of Us.

Just a day after learning that Kaitlyn Dever would be playing Abby in the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us, now comes word that Young Mazino will be taking on the role of Jesse, another character introduced in The Last of Us Part II. There are likely plenty of more announcements about the show on the way, as the new season isn’t expected until 2025.

Get the inside scoop on emo Jimmy Butler.

The Athletic is reporting that Netflix is working on another sports docuseries like Quarterback, this one focused on a quintet of NBA stars. That includes LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Edwards, Domantas Sabonis, and Jimmy Butler — and I can only hope that we’ll learn more about Butler’s unforgettable media day. No word on when it might stream, but the show is reportedly being filmed now.

The hottest gadget of CES 2024 is a fictional headset.

It looks like we’re getting more info on Netflix’s adaptation of 3 Body Problem tomorrow, and as part of the tease, the streamer released a short video highlighting the VR headset that’s so integral to the story. I know it’s not real, but I’m also pretty confident the sleek device would cost a lot more than an Apple Vision Pro.
