As promised when the current chapter launched back in December, Metal Gear’s Solid Snake has now officially joined the cast of Fortnite. Battle pass subscribers will have to complete a few quests to unlock Snake, while everyone else will get to hide in cardboard boxes around the island. Check out the full update notes right here.

It was a huge trend for game releases in 2023, and it shows no signs of slowing down this year. Case in point: today sees the launches of The Last of Us Part II Remastered on the PS5 and Another Code: Recollection on the Switch. On the plus side, both of these are excellent releases that show why the original games were so good in the first place.
A decade ago, Brave Wave burst on to the scene with the release of World 1-2, a collaborative album featuring some of the most renowned composers in gaming. Since then, the label has released many excellent records, and now it’s celebrating its 10th anniversary with another wide-ranging collab called Giants.
It’s out on April 19th on digital, CD, and vinyl (you can pre-order right here) and features 22 tracks from the composers behind games like Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden, Panzer Dragoon, and many more — and man does it look gorgeous.
The next game from Obsidian is out this year. And during today’s showcase, the studio gave a deep dive into Avowed’s colorful fantasy realm, real-time combat, and choice-based narrative. We didn’t get an actual release date, though, instead learning that it’ll be out sometime in the fall. I, for one, can’t wait to dual-wield some wands.
It starts at 3PM ET, and we’re expecting a bunch of news about upcoming games, including the Indiana Jones title from MachineGames. You can watch via the embed below, or check out some more options right here.
If you’ve splurged on the Switch Online + Expansion Pack option, the Game Boy Advance app now features two classic RPGs: Golden Sun and its sequel The Lost Age. They’re arguably the two most requested GBA titles so far... if you don’t count Mother 3.
