A few years after asking the internet what “fortnight” is, Lady Gaga is hinting that she’ll be making an appearance in the game through Fortnite Festival. That’s not too surprising — there are a few pop stars in Fortnite — but the real question is whether there will be a Lego Gaga.
Eli Roth’s adaptation of the game has been in the works for quite a while, and with its August 9th premiere date looming, we’re finally getting a glimpse at what it’ll look like. People has a few photos of the cast in costume, including Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Also Jack Black is there, but he’s a little hard to recognize as a robot named Claptrap.
Did you have a car company producing an anime series on your Friday afternoon bingo card? I sure didn’t. But the show is real and it’s called GRIP, will have five episodes released weekly starting February 26th, and is described as “a battle between the human spirit and computer control.” If we’re lucky, it’ll be something like an animated spiritual successor to The Hire series.

Later today Microsoft will be sharing “updates on the Xbox business” in an episode of the Xbox podcast that will feature Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer, head of Xbox game studios Matt Booty, and Xbox president Sarah Bond. If rumors are to be believed, we’ll be hearing about multiplatform games and possibly even new hardware.
