A fresh batch of games has dropped in the Playdate shop, but I’m particularly interested in Castle Tintagel, a Castlevania-style adventure that looks like just the thing to play ahead of this week’s premiere of the Netflix series.
As promised when the new season launched, Star Wars heroine Ahsoka is now available in Fortnite (so long as you purchased the current battle pass). She has an adorable pet for back bling and her arrival also means the return of lightsabers to the battle royale island. The timing is also good: the penultimate episode of Ahsoka’s Disney Plus series is streaming tonight.
With Prehistoric Planet, Apple TV Plus showed that dinosaurs are a great fit for the classic nature doc format. Now Netflix is doing something similar. Life on Our Planet explores the rise and fall of animal dynasties over the years, which involves visualizing a number of extinct species — including dinos.
The show is executively produced by Steven Spielberg, narrated by Morgan Freeman, and starts streaming on October 25th.
EA Sports FC 24, the first entry in EA’s new non-FIFA soccer franchise, launches next week. But so does a mobile version — and you can get a first glimpse at it in the reveal trailer below. The mobile game is out on September 26th, while the full PC and console release hits on the 29th.
