As Studio Ghibli prepares for the international release of The Boy and the Heron, the famed animation house will be doing so under new ownership, as it is set to become a subsidiary of Japan’s Nippon TV. It’s unclear what, if anything, will change for the studio, but a major project will be finding the eventual successors for director Hayao Miyazaki and producer Toshio Suzuki.

From the uncomfortably comedic horror of Dream Scenario to the outlandish heist / revenge movie Smugglers, there was a lot to love in Toronto this year.
This time it’s Capcom’s hack-and-slash series Onimusha, which is being turned into an anime on Netflix. It starts streaming on November 2nd — and you can check the very melodramatic trailer below.
Microsoft says that 10 million people have played its sci-fi epic Starfield since it debuted, making it “the biggest launch in Bethesda history.” Of course, given that the game debuted on Game Pass, this isn’t too surprising, and it’s not clear how the number breaks down between subscribers and those who bought the game.
But still, it’s a big number — and it means plenty of chances for people to enjoy a gourmet cube.
Capcom announced a new expansion for the excellent RE4 remake last week, and now we have a much better look at it thanks to a fresh trailer. It’s called “Separate Ways,” and it launches on September 21st.
