Netflix just properly revealed its Scott Pilgrim anime, and if you happen to be in LA on November 17th, there’s going to be a concert featuring music from the show from chiptune rockstars Anamanaguchi. The band also did the soundtrack for the Scott Pilgrim game, and it absolutely ruled.
The surreal adventure game is already available in a number of places, and today you can add two more to that list: the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Remedy has announced a small delay for the sequel to Alan Wake, which is now coming out on October 27th, 10 days after its original release date. At least it’ll still be here in time for Halloween.
There was a lot of great stuff at the festival this year, and you can check out a pair of excellent features in theaters starting on August 18th: a harrowing reimagining of Frankenstein called Birth/Rebirth, and Landscape With Invisible Hand, which envisions a different kind of alien invasion.
Digital Eclipse, the team behind the excellent retro collection Atari 50, is releasing its next project very soon. It’s an interactive documentary exploring Jordan Mechner’s seminal action game Karateka, and it’ll be available on PC and console on August 29th.
The latest Fast film will hit Peacock on September 15th, a few months after it debuted in theaters. The streaming service is also getting a handful of other titles in the series if you’re in a high-octane mood: Fast & Furious 6, Fate of the Furious, and Hobbs & Shaw will all debut on September 15th as well, while Furious 7 starts streaming on Peacock on October 1st.
