There’s a lot to dig into in this interview with Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma and Tears of the Kingdom director Hidemaro Fujibayashi about the new game. But my favorite part is when Fujibayashi talks about the process of making Ganon hot, which started when he requested “a very cool, very awesome demon king.”

What to do this weekend.
If we’re being honest, you’re probably spending as much time as possible playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on the Nintendo Switch. But there’s other stuff to do: you can head outside with Niantic’s new virtual pet game Peridot; stay on the couch and binge Black Knight on Netflix, a fun mashup of Death Stranding and Mad Max; or check out Diablo IV’s latest beta.
Andrew Webster
Jack Black definitely doesn’t play video games.
Just because he stars in the Super Mario Bros. Movie doesn’t mean he has time to waste with Red Dead Redemption II or Fallout 4. No way, buddy. Keep Zelda away from this guy.

I mean, we can’t all be playing Zelda this weekend.
And if you’re one of those feeling left out of the launch of Tears of the Kingdom, you can always check out the surprise third beta for Diablo IV, which runs from May 12th to the 14th.
