Somewhere to boldly go this weekend.

If you’re a long-time Star Trek fan — particularly of the TNG variety — you’re going to want to start watching the new season of Picard.

Now this is a gaming chair.

I’m a little disoriented from the augmented reality Mario Kart ride at Super Nintendo World, but unfortunately I can’t catch my breath in this big ol’ chair that I spotted in Bowser’s lair, since it’s just a prop. Not sure what’s up with that Peach photo, though.

Reporting live from the Mushroom Kingdom.

The first US edition of Super Nintendo Land opens at Universal Studios Hollywood tomorrow, but I’m here a little early getting a sneak peek. Expect to read plenty more about the park, as well as Nintendo itself, on The Verge in the coming days.

In the meantime, I’ll be avoiding this Thwomp.

    Apple FC.

Did you know that Apple signed a major deal to stream MLS games for the next decade? Well if you didn’t, the company is making the partnership very clear by slapping an Apple TV logo on the sleeve of every single club’s jersey. A whole bunch were just announced, including the NYCFC kit below. The MLS season kicks off next weekend on — you guessed it — Apple TV Plus.

Hello Tomorrow’s techno-optimism hides something much darker

The new Apple TV Plus series tells a story of deceit and scams, doused in the bright and sunny style of 1950s retrofuturism.

It’s one licensing deal, Michael. What could it cost?

Netflix is losing all five seasons of Arrested Development next month, which includes the three seasons that are actually good. Subscribers can still stream the show until March 14th. I guess you could call today’s news the final countdown.
