    Ragnarök is upon us.

And it comes in the form of the latest God of War on PlayStation, which launches at midnight tonight (ET). While The Verge’s own Ash Parrish had some issues with the game, they were mostly overshadowed by the story. “It’s been a long time since a game’s story knocked the wind out of me like God of War Ragnarök has,” she said in her review. “I felt emotionally drained and wrung out, akin to experiencing a 30-plus-hour cathartic cry session.”

As part of its third quarter earnings statement, Activision warned that Blizzard’s current licensing deal in China will expire in January 2023, and that it’s currently negotiating a new deal — but the outlook doesn’t sound great.

“We are in discussions regarding the renewal of these agreements, but a mutually-satisfactory deal may not be reached,” the company says. This will impact several of its games in the country, though Diablo Immortal is not one of them.

    It’s alone spelled backwards.

Sherlock’s kid sister is back in the sequel to Enola Holmes, which hits Netflix today. It’s the kind of charming action movie that’s becoming increasingly rare of late, making it perfect for a family movie night.
