Hunt is the directorial debut of Lee Jung-jae, best-known to international audiences as the star of Netflix’s phenomenon Squid Game (he also plays one of the lead roles in the film). It’s an incredibly intense spy thriller — and one of my favorite things from this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. It hits theaters and on-demand services on December 2nd.
It’s nearly Halloween and the entertainment releases are ramping up. This week we’ve got Henry Selick’s latest spooky stop-motion movie, a horror anthology from Guillermo del Toro, some old-school survival horror, an expansion for Resident Evil Village, and the long-awaited third Bayonetta game. Meanwhile, House of the Dragon just wrapped up its first season, so it’s the perfect time to catch up if you’ve been slacking. Nothing is scarier than those Targaryen kids.
There might be more of everyone’s favorite synthezoid on the way. According to a report from Deadline, a WandaVision spinoff centered on Vision is in the works, with Paul Bettany set to reprise the lead role. It’s reportedly called VisionQuest, and would be the show’s second spinoff, with Agatha: Coven of Chaos also in the works.
The game originally launched last year on the PC and Xbox, but a new PS5 version will debut on November 29th. It’ll have the same chill gameplay, along with new features like fishing and support for the DualSense controller.

Bayonetta 3 is out on the Nintendo Switch today, and, well, it sounds like it’ll be a frustrating experience for long-time fans. As my colleague Ash Parrish explains in her review, “The game was a thoroughly enjoyable, worthy successor for its first three quarters, only to faceplant so hard in the final fourth that I’m ready to write off the entire game’s existence.”
