“Each one of these is a snowflake.”

Finding unreleased video games is a rare occurrence, and right now there are two recently unearthed finds from the NES — and they’re both on eBay. My colleague Ash Parrish has the full story, which is a fascinating look into the world of video game preservation.

Keeping Call of Duty on PlayStation is a “commercial imperative” for Microsoft.

Ever since Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Activision Blizzard, Sony hasn’t been too happy — particularly when it comes to what might happen with the Call of Duty franchise. There’s been lots of exec-level drama, and today Microsoft issued its strongest statement on the matter yet, saying that keeping Call of Duty on PlayStation platforms is “a commercial imperative for the Xbox business.”

The hottest new streamer is a Pokémon gym leader.

The latest clip from Pokémon Violet and Scarlet introduces a character named Iono, who is not only a gym leader, but also apparently a famous streamer and influencer as well. She certainly knows how to dress. If you want to know more about the actual games, meanwhile, be sure to check out this 14-minute-long video from last week, which is packed with details.

    Look at this giraffe.

The Last of Us got a gorgeous PS5 remaster not too long ago, and now Artstation Magazine has posted a huge collection of concept art that the talented folks at developer Naughty Dog whipped up for the game. There are beautiful character designs and landscapes, but I can’t stop staring at this giraffe.

The Shin Megami Tensei III soundtrack is getting a beautiful vinyl release.

The cult classic Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne got a second life last year through a remastered release on modern platforms, and now fans can dig into its excellent soundtrack through a beautiful vinyl collection. Courtesy Fangamer, the record goes on sale at 1PM ET today for $79, and it includes 70 tracks spread across 4 LPs, from composers Shoji Meguro, Kenichi Tsuchiya, Toshiko Tasaki, and Tsukasa Masuko. It marks the first time the Nocturne soundtrack has been released outside of Japan, so you can finally chill out to its post-apocalyptic vibes when you’re not playing.
