Time to see your Nintendo highlights for the year.

Xbox and PlayStation year in reviews are out, so now it’s time for Nintendo. Sign in to the website and Nintendo will break down the number of games you played across how many hours and collect your most played games and when you played them.

According to my review, I spent a whopping 173 hours on just eight games. That’s a lot of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (and it was worth it!)

For a limited time, Overwatch returns to its roots.

After abandoning the 6v6 format years ago, the latest Overwatch 2 patch will test its return. From now until January 6th, you can play Overwatch as it was originally conceived with two tanks, two damage dealers, and two healers on each team. Six vs. six matches will be unranked and certain heroes have had their abilities tweaked to better suit the new but also old format.

    Remember, no horny.

With the arrival of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PC January 23rd, Square Enix is once again asking players to be cool about mods. In an interview with Epic Games, director Naoki Hamaguchi asked that modders, “not to create or install anything offensive or inappropriate.” A similar ask was made on behalf of Final Fantasy XVI, and like that request, this one will likely be ignored as well.

If Paulie Walnuts was a gamer, do you think he’d play Mafia?

During The Game Awards 2024, Mafia: The Old Country, debuted a new trailer. The game, launching in summer 2025, will get into one family’s struggle in La Cosa Nostra in 1900s Sicily to the delight (or potential dismay) of mobsters everywhere. RIP Paulie Walnuts, maybe this would have been a better “Old Country” experience than the one you had.

    Here comes a new challenger.

Tekken 8 is getting a new fighter. On December 16th, Clive Rosfield of Final Fantasy XVI will become the second ever Final Fantasy character to enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament. He, along with a FF16-themed stage will join Tekken 8 as a part of its winter update. It’s no Waffle House (or Tifa Lockhart for that matter) but I’ll take it.
