Ubisoft has announced a free, console patch for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Out November 19th, the patch adds 60 FPS and 4K resolution to PS5, PS5 Pro, and the Xbox Series X, while the less powerful Series S only gets the juiced up frames. The curious timing and odd choice of Assassin’s Creed game suggests this might be some light housekeeping Ubisoft is doing before a potential release of its Animus Hub.

Every year, The Game Awards orchestra — featuring the electrifying energy of Pedro Eustache, affectionately known as Flute Guy — performs songs from all the Game of the Year nominees. With Metaphor: ReFantanzio’s GOTY nomination, Geoff Keighley has the opportunity to orchestrate the most amazing Game Awards moment in its history: Having Flute Guy and Japanese Monk Chant Guy perform together on the same stage.
The “Pay Geoff Keighley hundreds of thousands of dollars to advertise your game” Awards have revealed the categories and nominees for this year’s showcase. It should come as no surprise that Astro Bot and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have racked up the most nominations at seven apiece. But I’m really excited to see who wins Best Indie Game as that category is stacked. Watch The Game Awards December 12th at 7:30 PM Eastern.
After calls for Twitch to address antisemitism on the platform, the site’s hateful conduct policy now includes “Zionist” as a potential slur. Twitch specifies this is conditional: you’re allowed to discuss the political movement of that name, but not “attack or demean another individual or group of people on the basis of their background or religious belief.”
