Just days after settling a social media addiction lawsuit, Snap is giving parents tools to see how much time their kids are spending in Snapchat, including how that time breaks down between different parts of the app. They’ll also get new insights into how kids know any new friends they add.
Meta has bet big on AI everything, but also has Instagram boss Adam Mosseri out there warning creators about its impact. One commenter (and occasional Verge contributor!) sums up its position nicely:

9to5Google spotted reports across Reddit that Pixel phones’ Take a Message live voicemail transcription is leaking audio from the recipient’s microphone back to the caller. It doesn’t seem to be affecting every Pixel — 9to5Google couldn’t replicate the bug — and could be limited to older handsets. Google says it’s investigating.
Marathon developer Bungie says it’s fixed a headscratching bug that saw some Steam preorders of the game accidentally trigger installation of Destiny 2 as well — currently a 170GB download. Marathon is finally launching on March 5th, after missing its initial September release.

Redmagic’s new 11 Air just launched in China. Sounds thin and light, right? Well, sort of — at 8mm thick and 207g it’s smaller than Redmagic’s liquid-cooled 11 Pro, but a far cry from the 5.6mm, 165g iPhone Air. Still, not bad for a phone with a 7,000mAh battery and built-in fan.
OpenAI’s CFO said the other day that the company’s aim for the year is “practical adoption,” but one commenter wonders if the ChatGPT company might have something more straightforward in mind.

The new “conversational” Bixby sounds similar to the one already rolled out on some Samsung TVs, bolstered by web search powered by Perplexity. It’s available in beta in One UI 8.5, which we’re expecting to launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series some time next month.
